New routes Ancona - Bar (Montenegro)
Adria Ferries s.p.a is pleased to announce that starting from July 9, 2024, it will operate on the new route between Italy and Montenegro, responding to the growing interest in this splendid Balkan country, which is developing rapidly in terms of hotel accommodation and tourist services. The ferry connection between Ancona and Bar, and vice versa, will be guaranteed with departures from both ports on a biweekly basis.
The opening of the new route is the result of strong synergy that has developed over the past few months between the Government of Montenegro, the Embassy of Italy in Montenegro, and Adria Ferries s.p.a.
AF Mia, a cruise ferry that joined the Adria Ferries fleet in December 2023, will operate on the Ancona - Bar route. The ship can accommodate more than 1,500 passengers and has approximately 200 cabins, all equipped with WC and shower. Among these, there are 14 suites with king size beds, 12 of which are located on the upper deck and completely renovated as of May 2024. AF Mia also features a reclining seat lounge and spacious common areas that ensure a comfortable journey for all types of passengers. There are also cabins specifically designed for traveling with pets, and cabins equipped for the transport of persons with reduced mobility (PRM).
AF Mia's service offerings include a duty-free shop and an area dedicated to children.
On board, there are four bars, including one outdoor bar that also offers freshly prepared pizzas, kebabs, and salads, and one specializing in cocktails and premium beverages for a pleasant aperitif or after-dinner drink. The two restaurants available to passengers include a self-service restaurant with approximately 300 seats and an à la carte restaurant characterized by a sophisticated atmosphere and recipes from Italian and international cuisine, meticulously prepared by the onboard chef.
